Healing Family Series

Holt International is a strong supporter of adoptive families learning the Trust-Based Relational Intervention® (TBRI®) parenting model because it is a very successful and evidence-based intervention technique. Texas Christian University’s Institute of Child Development has created a series of DVDs based on their research of children from hard places. Called “The Healing Family Series”, these DVDs are designed to teach you about the developmental needs of children from hard places and will include practical strategies for connecting with and empowering your child.

TBRI for Teens

TBRI for Teens

Developing a trusting relationship with any teenager can be a challenge. For teenagers with traumatic backgrounds of abuse, neglect or broken homes, it’s especially challenging for both the teens and the adults who care for them. TBRI® For Teens follows a dozen youth, ages 11-18, and a dozen staffers from Methodist Children’s Home in Waco, Texas as they try a new approach called Trust-Based Relational Intervention®. This DVD provides practical strategies and tips from this experience that can be used by any caregiver or parent with teens.
